Building Communities of Ownership, Opportunity, and Prosperity

Eden Community Ventures Corporation is a Baltimore-based nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing community wealth-building, economic empowerment, and neighborhood transformation. We believe that lasting prosperity is created when residents have opportunities not only to earn income, but also to build assets, own homes and businesses, develop leadership, and participate in shaping the future of their communities.

Our work is guided by a simple but powerful belief: communities possess the talent, knowledge, and capacity to create their own future when provided with the right opportunities, resources, and support. Rather than focusing solely on programs and services, Eden works to strengthen the people, institutions, and systems that help communities create, retain, and share prosperity across generations.

Our Mission

Eden exists to create lasting pathways to economic mobility, asset preservation, community ownership, leadership development, and generational wealth. Through leadership development, legal empowerment, community development, wealth-building initiatives, and civic engagement, we help create pathways to ownership, opportunity, and long-term community prosperity.

Our Approach

For decades, communities have received investments in education, workforce development, housing, and social services. While these efforts remain important, many neighborhoods continue to face persistent wealth disparities and barriers to ownership.

Eden believes that sustainable transformation requires more than access to services. It requires pathways to leadership, entrepreneurship, homeownership, asset-building, and community participation. By connecting these opportunities into a coordinated ecosystem, we help residents move from opportunity seekers to opportunity creators.

The Eden Platform is an ecosystem of mission-aligned organizations and initiatives working together to advance a shared vision of community prosperity.

Each pillar serves a distinct role, but all are connected through a common mission: to strengthen communities by expanding opportunity, ownership, leadership, and wealth-building.

Eden Law Center
Eden Community Ventures Corp

Eden Law Center provides legal services and education that help individuals, families, and entrepreneurs protect their rights, preserve assets, and strengthen long-term financial security.

Community Wealth & Civic Engagement initiatives strengthen community leadership, resident participation, and institutional capacity to ensure prosperity remains rooted in and benefits the community.

Together, these pillars form an integrated model designed to help residents learn, build, protect, and sustain the foundations of long-term prosperity.

Where We Work

Eden is currently focused on Westport and Mt. Winans in Baltimore City, where we are partnering with residents, businesses, faith institutions, and community stakeholders to build and test a model for community prosperity rooted in ownership, leadership, and wealth-building. Our goal is to develop a blueprint that can be replicated in communities across Baltimore and beyond.

Our Vision

We envision communities where residents have the opportunity to become homeowners, entrepreneurs, leaders, and decision-makers; where assets are built and preserved across generations; and where prosperity is created locally, retained within the community, and shared by those who call it home.

At Eden, success is measured not only by the programs we deliver, but by stronger institutions, expanded ownership, increased opportunity, and communities with the capacity to shape their own future.
